Awesome, awesome, awesome.

My CD32 disc is perfect at last.

Thankies XPort for listening to all of our requests and reports.  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/happy.gif)

I even threw together a modified default skin to mark the occasion:
(not imaginative enough to design one from scratch)

Fantastic !!   Could this be the one smile.gif
What more can you possibly do...As it is now its more compatable with Amiga games than the Amiga was !!
And to think when UAE first came out it stood for  " Useless Amiga Emulator "  and thats fact !!

I'd like to hear back from the people who were having mouse issues, but this is probably the final one.  I hacked together another xbox-usb cable to test it and saw what was going wrong.  I'd be very surprised if they still experience problems, but who knows - perhaps something else related to mice broke.

That's because you're not configuring your controllers to set up mappings for the CD32 buttons.  Delete E:\saves\winuaex\*.ini and any *.ini file that's located in the same directory as your XBE file.  Restart.

That will assign some default mappings - but you should really familiarize yourself with how to reconfigure controllers (as well as everything else in the emulator.)  I suggest you read the FAQs.

Xport.
Thanks for fixing the 2 usb mice function, they are now working fine. Cheers.
I did notice that when you plug in the second usb mouse, then the mouse that was originally plugged in becomes mouse 2. For instance, if you have a usb mouse plugged into port 2 on the xbox, this acts as mouse 1, but if you then plug in another usb mouse into say port 3, then the mouse in port 2 becomes mouse 2 and the mouse in port 3 becomes mouse 1. Same applies with ports 3 and 4. In fact, if you have 2 usb mice plugged in at the same time, the mouse in the lowest port on the xbox is always mouse 2 eg. xbox port 1 = mouse 2 and xbox port 2 = mouse 1. This rule only applies when 2 usb mice are plugged in.

Xport, now that you have have created a way of 2 players playing games like Lemmings and The Settlers on the Xbox using 2 seperate usb mice could I suggest a feature where you could play these kind of games with 2 separate pads. As it stands at the moment if you were using 2 pads to play such games, one player will always have to use the right analog as the mouse because there is no option to map mouse 2 to pad 2 left analog. One player, whether it be player 1 or 2 would always have use the right analog on one the pads which is awkward because you need your right hand to press the emulated mouse buttons. The feature I mean would be an extension of what you have already done in the Game Configuration menu and would look something like this when playing 2 mouse games:

Port 1: Mouse
Port 2: Mouse
Mouse 1 Control: Pad 1 LAnalog
Mouse 2 Control: Pad 2 LAnalog

This feature would also stop the other player sabotaging the game because of the current ability to control both mice from both pads.

There is one other thing. I dont know whether this is a core bug or not, but mouse 2 is always slightly jerky when playing 2 mouse games. It doesn't matter whether it is mapped to the left or right analog on any pad or even using a USB mouse, it is always jerky compared to mouse 1. I went back to v7 just to see, and it does it there aswell. I played 2 player of Lemmings on a real amiga using 2 mice, and there is no difference in mouse performance. Both are smooth. I have made a little video of winuaex playing a 2 player of Lemmings(does it in other 2 mouse games aswell). I have mapped mouse 1 and 2 to the Left analog to show what I mean. Mouse 1 is always very smooth. Check out the diagonal movement near the end:

Thank you very much for all your updates Xport.

I really am enjoying this emulator, and now that I have a USB mouse I can play Dungeon Master again  smile.gif  A couple of questions though for any other Miggy users who might be able to clear up a couple of points. When using a HDF file with Workbench 3.1 set-up like I used to have on my A1200, the virtual hard drive seems to feel quite sluggish, like for example when icons are been drawn on screen. Even on a standard unexpanded 1200 I seem to remember it running quicker that it does on Winuaex, even with all the settings set to fast. When I had a 1200 with extra ram and an 020, and then later, an 030 (Blizzard I think) expansion it really did whizz along. Yet no matter what setting I choose I cannot get Workbench or games like Gloom to run particularly well. I know that the emulator is capable of been quicker, just by pressing the right shoulder trigger at least doubles the speed, so what am I missing? I know it's probably something obvious so any pointers appreciated.

Also, has anyone got the intro to 'It Came From The Desert' to run correctly? I seem to either get it to run too fast with the voice-over been sped-up or it runs at the correct pace and the voice-over sounds really crackly and distorted. Again I've tried numerous configurations but cannot seem to master it lol. The game itself runs just fine, just like I remember it did on my A500, but I'm just a sad old games player who would like to watch the intro again lol.

What has been a bonus is I have found my old registration file for Whdload and it works just great on the Xbox, can't wait to play those big multi-disk games like Cruise For A Corpse again. A Big big thanks Xport beerchug.gif

Set CPU speed to 100% (not Max). This setting slows down some games but in most cases you will see a big performance boost.

hi guys...

im new to this winuaex thing and i must say its great...... I miss my old amiga....

one thing though..... for the life of me I can not get 2 genuine xbox controllers working with SWOS 96/97 for a 2 player game....

one works fine but as soon as we plug the 2 controller into port 2 in the xbox the first contorller starts acting screwy....  always moving up/moving on its own......

i've tried reading up in the readme's/faq's etc but can seem to work it out....

is there something im missing to get the second controller working so i can play 2 player games of SWOS... im sure its something real simple that im just not seeing.....

thanks guys!
