Is there going to be RTG support in WinuaeX anytime soon/future ?
I mean gfxcard screens better than AGA, like 16/24/32 bit.
Would be nice to install my old os3.9 setup i used on a4000.

Today i use AmigaOne only with OS4. I have E-UAE installed on OS4
to be able to run old stuff and also my old a4000 setup which
i use for example 1024x768x32. But its cooler to use it on
xbox connected to my 32inch tv.

Just checking. Thanks for another good update

Another big improvement. Alien Breed TA, ATR, and The Big 6 all work great now. happy.gif

However the games with 2 data tracks (Cannon Fodder and DS+WC) still don't boot. Instead of the spinning CD screen the display just goes black and stays there. The emu does not crash though since you can still return to the menu.

Also the problem with getting stuck in intros that have MP3 audio (The Chaos Engine, Bubba n Stix) is still present, but (for JAZ and anyone else who's interested) simply skipping the intro will allow you to play the game.

Thankies for all these updates.

Are you sure that Cannon Fodder doesn't work?  It worked for me - but the interesting part is that the spinning CD never appeared - it just went from the black screen to some writing on the screen stating that Cannon Fodder is loading.  Hold down the fast-forward/throttle button for a while and make sure that it's not just taking a while to load.

Just re-tested and left it a good 5 minutes. Still just a black screen. I tried both the Good and Best Compatibility CD32 presets and deleting the save files for the game.

Forgive the question, but are you sure you ran the CUE sheet and not the ISO? If so could you please post the CUE you used?

Thankies.

No, I was launching the CUE.  I know what the problem is now and it will be fixed in the next version.  For now, though, if you want a workaround, you can change "MODE1/2048" to "MODE2/2336" for track #2 in your cue sheet.  The next version won't need that.  It's all rather pointless for Cannon Fodder, though, because it never accesses track#2.  I played around with it for a good 20 mins and it never even touched track #2.  If anyone has any information as to what's on this track, I'd like to hear it.

Even if it was accessed, it looks like it would fail because the data sectors are 2336 bytes long and there is only support in WinUAE for 2048 byte sectors.  This could be fixed, but as I said, it does not seem to use the data at all.

Regarding the hanging problem with games like Chaos Engine - does the same thing happen on a real-CD version?

I've tested the 2 usb mice feature. When 2 usb mice are plugged in only one will work, whichever one that you plugged in last. For instance, if you plug a mouse in port 2 that will work, then if you plug another mouse into port 3, then this mouse will work and the mouse in port 2 will be disabled. If you then unplug and replug the mouse in port 2, this will work and the mouse in port 3 will be disabled. The results are the same across all ports.

Interesting info about Cannon Fodder. Examination of the second data track reveals that it is in fact completely empty and is 0 bytes in size.  blink.gif

And to answer your question about the hanging issue; I just tested it and yes, it would seem it happens even when running from an original disc.

That's actaully a bug in cddissect.  It can't handle MODE2 data.  There is actually data in that track - you can dump the track with something like Nero and see it.

I had a feeling that the hanging happened on a real CD because I don't see any difference between the execution paths for real-cds and iso/mp3.  This is a core bug (and an unimportant one, really) so this will get a pass.

Looking at dual mice.

I tested my original The Chaos Engine CD32 CD on a friend's Xbox with v12 and it does the exact same thing.
