Snes Emu With Cheat-search Functions?
« on: February 23, 2006, 01:13:00 PM »

Much like the cheat-search functions in neongenesis, pscxbox, vbax, and xsms,
I was wondering if it’s possible to have a similar function integrated into a snes emulator?

See I’ve looked and searched high and low and I can’t find a SNES and NES emulator that can do this, or an N64 emulator.

Now if it’s a case of these functions only being available if the original pc emulator had them, then could someone please point me in the direction of them?
I’ve checked “the usual places” and come up with nothing.

Cheers

XPort banned me over a year ago when I asked about a snes emulator. He said he's not gonna port it, And since then... I've been counting on Lantus to implement it in his xsnes emulator, with a way to enter in a Description. We'll see though.

Best to use SNES9x on your PC and copy the codes across. N64...I don't think Project64 can do it. I haven't used it for some time, though, so I may be wrong.

Something little offtopic but the guys than made that emu retaked the develpmet and is going to be a new version of that excellent emulator. To not be so offtopic, maybe they are going to implement that, but I highly doubt it  tongue.gif

It's not just about xport not wanting to do snes, its about him respecting other's perfectly working ports.

now if lantus was to release xsnes9x's source like he told me he'd do when releasing 1.43 (and stickied on his forum before it went down) i dont think it would be out of the question for xport to add his UI on top of the already very good xsnex9x core (altho i love lantus's ui and find it practical, xport's is obviously way more functionnal)

this is only wishful thinking at best ATM tho, as lantus said he's delaying any xsnes9x release till 1.44 windows version is released (wich may or may not ever happen, last time i heard the new audio cores and such were only going to the linux version, the windows port's code being a mess and in need of a complete rewrite (with no takers)

now maybe lantus has some more tricks up its sleeves, but thats beyond wishful thinking ;/
