Neo-genesis Won't Save State, Settings Reset!

Hi,

Neo-Genesis was working just fine, and then it suddenly stopped saving states. You go to save state and it says state saved, but when you go to load all the slots are empty. IT sucks. Also all the emulators settings (button assignments, music settings, change every time I start the program. Any help?
