Bill Gates Recently Apologised Over The Www To...
« on: March 26, 2005, 06:56:00 AM »

Hi,
Didnt know where to put this so i've put it in here. I've also submitted it to slashdot.
Here goes:

QUOTE(PetitionOnline)
Hello, on behalf of the entire MS® Corporation I sincerely apologise. I would firstly like to thank you in your continued support in me and the MS® Corporation and I assure you that these growing problems WILL be rectified. Second, I would like the spam to my email regarding these problems stopped if possible, but you may still mail me for other reasons ([email protected]). Penultimately, I would like to say that compensation will be given out in the form of a 10% discount on the next-gen xbox due to be released in November of this year. Finally, I would like to take this opportunity to tell all beta testers for the upcoming Windows™ OS - Codenamed Longhorn - that beta versions of this product will be despatched within the next couple of months. Good day, and thankyou once again for your continued support in me and the MS® Corporation. Mr. William Gates III

wait, is that really Billy G? If it was, wouldn't he have signed it "Sir" William Gates III, not "Mr."?

Part of me would like to believe that it was really him (hey, its cool to have Bill Gates sign a petition I created), but as of right now we have no proof that its really him, it could be somebody else from M$, or some random person playing a joke.

Sure, he requests not to have his email spammed, then proceeds to put the address out there for all the bots to find.   rotfl.gif

Since Mr. William Gates, is NOT a Britan cizten he CAN NOT use the title of
"Sir", enough tho he was "knighted" by the queen.

Mr. Gates would need to buy a home in england, become a resident for
a few years, then apply to become a "citzen" of england, afterthat he would
earn the right to be called "Sir".

I am sure it is in his plans in the near future.

This cant be serious.

First off, how will this so called 10% discount work? Will everyone get 10% off? If so, that means M$ can just say theres a 10% discount, when in reality theres probably a 10% increasse. What bullshit.

If this is true, its just a promotion to get people to by thier new system.

Maybe you take in your receipt of purchase of your xbox 1 and if the date on it matches a certain criteria, you get 10%. I think this may cause a bit of a stir though. And as for the knighthood, maybe he was being polite as he thought of what garyopa said.

Puuuhhlease, true reparations should be made in either a cash rebate, free xbl subscription, or 1/2 off a new game coupon.

This is just an attempt to get people to buy their new system. That is of course if this apology is legitimate.

Yes, half price on a game would save you £20 (if the game is £40) but 10% off a new xbox would be better in the long run.

i.e. if 10% off £150 is £135 you have only saved £15 compared to the half off a game thing, BUT, who buys legit games?

Your right, forgot to do the math on that one. Lets bump that up to one free game, for the legitimate people of this world, of course.
