Playing Music Files While Playing Game.

Here is asimple question, if i download some mp3s to my box then will i be able to play those songs while playing a game (games with custom soundtrack option)?

Yes convert to WMA first though.

First, this is not an XBMC question.

Second, you can only transfer songs into your XBox' soundtrack database (where your xbox retrieves info about songs on your Xbox' HD) by using a program such as Soundtrack Editor or VXCR (Virtual Xbox CD Ripper).  As stated, yes they must be .wma format files to be transferred to the xbox with these programs. Not MP3...

Third, to learn more about these tools or about the Xbox Soundtrack Database, you may want to ask a few questions in the Newbie Chat Forum.
