So....heres what ive done:

backed up C/E/F drives of xbox

followed slayers instructions to format & upgrade xbox with modchip/120gb hdd

i can no longer ftp to xbox

cannot boot from slayers auto installer 2.7 (tried about 15 times) - i made a new iso, burning at the lowest speed and that wouldnt boot either.

dont know exactly what modchip i have

Original games boot fine, at the moment im receiving the error 13 msg, if i disconnect the IDE cable, i get error 12 if thats any help to anyone.

Someone please give me a hand here cos ive got no idea what to do from this point

what media are you burning to? if its cd-r, try cd-rw, if its cd-rw try padding it out and making a dvd-r

anyone?? theres gotta be someone here that knows what theyre doing... anyone have any idea how i can read the HDD from my laptop? Ive got the IDE cable, the cputer recognises its a mass storage device but it doesnt actually assign a drive to it. doesnt show up... cheers for any info guys

windows wont read an xbox hard drive natively, youll have to use xplorer360 or some similar app to access the drive, im not sure if it can be used to actually build a new HD though

Downloaded Xplorer360, it says 'Could not find FATX to open' when i have the HDD connected. Any ideas are greatly appreciated. Ive been on this for 2 weeks now. I have baggage under my eyeballs but im not letting this beat me
