What's Up With Http Interface?
« on: August 24, 2004, 11:25:00 AM »

I'm curious if there's any work being done in regards of the HTTP interface... it's pretty bad IMHO and only provides rudemntary options. I thought I could rewrite the interface myself using basic ASP that's built in, but after looking at the C++ code I realized that there's virtually no support for any kind of features except for basic queue and play.

My biggest problem with the web interface is that it's seems very unstable. Starting new mp3 file doesnt result in anything half the time and I still don't understand how exactly the que functions, there's no way to tell what song is playing nor how far in the song you are...

I'm somewhat considering getting linux and checking out regular linux MP3 server options...

any thoughts? :)

thnx!  <

XBMP hasn't been worked on in forever... Look at XBMC and see if the web functions are any better....  ;)   <
