any 1 know how to downgrade your xbox dashboard to 4920, i have been trying to figure out how to do this for weeks, replies would be greatly appreciated.

i need to add linux to my xbox, and currently have dashboard 5960, which is too recent.

Just use Krayzies Ndure softmod installer you wont need to downgrade..

What are you trying to install anyway???

how do i use Krayzies Ndure and where do i get it? BTW im tring to install xbox linux,but my dashboard is too recent.

Ok get it from usual places link in my sig.

And what is the name of the installer trying to use?? im only asking cause theres linux as in soft mod and theres XDSL which is a OS of linux ported to the xbox.

Are you just trying to softmod??

So you must already have 1 of the exploitable games?

If so just get krayzies Ndure transfer to mem card then to xbox hd

And load it from the exploitable game..Its very easy to install..

No Krayzies Ndure is more up to date then what you have and you wont need to downgrade dash to use it..

Its a softmod that will let you run emulators and any other apps games...The 1 your trying to use is outdated...Use ndure instead its the best 1 out..

Edit: you have a way to get the save from pc to mem card rite? like action replay

btw i dont have action replay, but i have a memory stick which i can connect to my xbox via a xbox/usb cable. The memory stick obviously also connects to the comp.. will that work?

ok so instead of downgrading dashboard i got these files (ndure,xibin), the only problem is when i try to tranfer them to my box, my memory sticks data get erased. anyone know how to prevent this from happening.

Ok I waas iming back and forth with OP And he has Ndure now.But cant get it to the xbox..

But as soon as he plugs the USB mem stick into his xbox with the save on it the xbox formats it.

Now I had him try transfering the 4d530017 folder anf that got formated so then I had him try the udata.zip folder that got formatted

Now I dont use mem sticks so I know nothing about them..

Also he had some program that would put the mechinstaller on his usb stick and the xbox would take it.
But the program OZX or something.. wont transfer the Ndure save to his usb stick.

So i told him to get AR software and see if that would work..Well it wouldnt recognize his usb stick..
I have no clue on what he should do.

But i do know he needs to stay away from that downgradeing crap..

He doesnt seem to understand that...even after i told him 2-3 times that it was pointless he opened up a new thread asking how to downgrade..

Someones gotta know a way or a tut that will show him how to transfer the save via his usb stick..

I figured id help him out by posting his actual problem with ndure..

Found a tut on useing USB stick...
