Fragging
« on: June 02, 2006, 12:15:00 AM »

Its been kinda been on my mind for a while, and I thought I'd post it here and ask the great guys at XS

After reading many many many posts, and having 2 fragged xboxes myself, could anyone enlighten me, (im a nooooooob btw)

Why does an Xbox become 'fragged'?  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/huh.gif)  I mean what exactly happens to the Xbox internally? Hardware failure? I really have no idea, and i'm interested to find out  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Thanks in advance

it could be a range of things like modchip not install correctly, incompatible bios flashed, somthing short circuiting, ram not install correctly.
thats all i can think of

Well my fragged Xboxes have never been opened...hmm can they frag when an Xbox has been dropped? Like physical damage to the motherboard?

Cos I was hoping to fix em with a modchip...my m8 really needs an Xbox and he's absolutely skint (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

It could be the tsop's are corrupt, so trying them with a chip wont do any harm (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
