OK im still waiting for the screwdrivers (bank holiday today in the UK so the postal service has decided to jump on the bandwagon!) but i have found a text document on my PC from when i backed up a copy of the xbox hdd to my pc. It has the hdd's unlock code in it! How do i go about locking the hdd again when i can open up the xbox?  jester.gif

if you have a backup of ur eeprom on ur pc get xboxhdm then read the tutorial on how to make a bootable disk if u dont have a copy of a c drive get 1 from a slayers disk, once you've made the disk hook your x box HD to ur pc and and boot up your pc then wen u choose option 1 u can rebuild the HD from scratch once you've done that lock the drive put it back in your xbox and you should have a standard xbox again, you then just need to put ur softmod back on biggrin.gif  and then never use install disks if u want to change nething just ftp

have you sorted this yet?

if you have a backup on your pc you can use xbhdm to do it.
if the backup is on the xbox drive then you HAVE to use a chip, there is no other way around it.
trust me i know, i did the same to two xboxes (thought i would have learnt wouldnt u?)

i ended up buying a chip to lock it, cost 20 quid from online shop gives u so much more to do with your xbox too.

if you want any help pm me

Regards
Saint
