Resurrect A V1.0 Psu
« on: March 12, 2005, 06:54:00 PM »

I recently bought a broken v1.0 xbox.  I tested everything and it is just the PSU that is busted.

After some cleaning, I found what looks like a small burn spot on the underside of the psu.

here are some pics I took to help with my explanation.

Any expert modders know how I can "resurrect" this PSU?

the burn mark doesn't appear to be in any of the solder points - actually it's on the dark green of the circuit board.

It doesn't look like anything serious, but I just  don't know what this burn spot affects.

do you get any standby voltage on the PSU? if not the fuse might be blown...
