i also have a extra slim psu but i think i might hold on to that.

ya but i already sold the slim case and most things with it, still have a few imu's (internal memory unit) and iwa's  (internal wifi adapter).

i do have a hdd caddy in another console that i dont need but it will be a few days before i have time to take it apart.

meh, i still got stuff that's xbox related that i dont want and this Awesome Community.
i still do mod duty's, tho not to much anymore...definitely useful tho...give's me something to do.

Yes it can be used on the slim without anything special. Just use the same spots as you would on the phat. I have the same one I bought from grim years ago soldered in my slim at all times that way I dont have to open the case up incase of a bad flash and it works great.
