Booting Up Xbmc Straight Away ?
« on: April 06, 2005, 05:36:00 AM »

Hi all,

I have my XBOX currently running the latest version of XBMC, I havd XBMC installed to E:\Apps\XBMC\ So my XBOX boots to the normal EvoX..
I presume if I want XBMC to boot automatically when the XBOX is powered on I should have XBMC installed to C:\
Is there anything I should delete from the C:\ and is there anything I should do to the XboxMediaCenter.xml file ?

Another thing is, I have some MP3's in E:\Multimedia\Music\
How do I get these MP3's to appear in 'My Music' on XBMC ?
I tried using the SCAN button but it didn't find anything

Thanks in advance.

Seany

I followed the link and when I created the bootdisk the XBOX just keeps resetting i.e the disk is not setup correctly

On my C drive on my XBOX I have :

<Audio>
<fonts>
<tHc.data>
<tHc_Dash_v1B.10027100>
<xodash>

config.xbx
evoxdash.xbe
memoryx.xbx
reboot.xbe
shutdown.xbe

In order to make the 'boot disk' according to the tutorial I should :
Rename evoxdash.xbe -> default.xbe
Delete <Audio>
Create an ISO image
Burn to CD/DVD

Here's what I burned to disk :

<fonts>
<tHc.data>
<tHc_Dash_v1B.10027100>
<xodash>

config.xbx
default.xbe
memoryx.xbx
reboot.xbe
shutdown.xbe

Anyone know what I am doing wrong ?

What is it you are trying to do? Your thread never said anything about making boot discs did it?

I thought you were trying to get XBMC to start up as soon as your Xbox started? I.e use XBMC as dashboard.

Creating Evo-x bootdiscs has nothing to do with XBMC and is in the wrong forum for that kind of thread.

*edit* I think from your post you accidentally posted the last replies in the wrong thread you started.
