I kind of want to do that too... I want to stream my music over to my computer though, even possibly load it in music match through the network?  I have all my music on there and its a pain to transfer my music over to my computer when I want to use my awesome computer speakers... anyone know what I can do?  All I have seen is PC to Xbox?  Anything vise versa?

XBMC does have a built in web server (GoAhead), so as long as you can expose your Xbox's Port 80 to the outside world (Internet) then it can be done. Sort of anyway..

As far as I remember there is no stream server in GoAhead but you may be able to find one that someone has written for it via google.

I did use my Xbox just as a web server for a while but.......over a 100Mbit lan connection the pages were a little slow to load, not because of the connection but the speed of the GoAhead Webserver.

The better option is to put one of the linux distro's on your xbox, I use Xebian basic which is basically a port of Debian Linux but a minimalist (No X server) distro. Don't fear tho - because with one command you can add an X-Server and even the gnome desktop:

"apt-get install x-window-system gnome-desktop-environment"

Then you can add the apache web server and anyone of the music streamers written for linux.

HTH
