Xbmc Webserver Over Internet
« on: March 29, 2005, 09:50:00 PM »

This seems like it wouldn't be a problem but maybe there is some kind of setting on the xbox that I am missing.

I have been trying to access my webserver from the internet; while I do no have any trouble accessing it from my intranet, when I try to type in either my dynamic dns name or actual WAN ip address followed by the port (ex. http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:8050 or http://mydns.dyndns.org:8050) I cannot access the XBOX.

I set my server running 2003 to foward port 8050 to the local IP of the XBOX.  I know a decent ammount about networking but apparently I don't know enough.  There is a webserver running on the same computer that works fine; however, this function does not seem to be working.

Please help I have been researching this all night and cannot find any way to get it to work.  Just in case you were wondering I am trying to do this so I can control my xbox with my internet enabled Blackberry 7520.  Thanks for your time!
