Things i've done :
- Screwed a TSOP chip by trying to unsolder it
- Burned myself i dont know how many times with that soldering iron
- Solder splatch over the board, the DVD drive and the front panel
- Electrocuted a few times
- Burned my case with the soldering iron a few times :x

Once I had two soldering irons on at the same time (both me and a friend were in the midst of some soldering), sitting on the floor in stands. A wire somehow got pulled and one soldering iron made it over to the power wire of the other, burning through the insulation and touching the wires through which the power was running. It took three shots of sparks before we found what was causing them and unplugged it.

There are other things, but nothing in particular comes to mind right now

i was working on my box once, and my cousin and her daughter my second cousin, came over to visit for a while. She sat and watched me work and when her mom said they were leaving she had a pillow in her lap that i had left on the floor. When she got up she apperently forgot about the pillow and it got tossed directly on my bran new, perfectly clean soldering iron. That was my favorite pillow too.
I got lucky on this next one:
I was tinning a very springy wire and was trying to get some excss solder off of it, the wire slipped off the iron and catapulted the still hot solder strait for my eye. Luckily i happened to be blinking when the solder hit me but wow that has to be one of the most painfull burns, second only to the time i stabbed myself with the hot iron.
Another on:
I was working with a high temp glue gun and got a large piece of glue on my finger. After the burn subsided i pulled the glue off and a VERY deep chunk of skin came off with it. I prolly should have seen a doctor about it but i didn't and i am none the worse for wear......well somwhat

i have burned myself and eletricuted myself .. but... who hasnt
i have a hole in my carpet and ive left my iron on over night

oh and a glue gun over like an hour that was bad big pile of glue on the carpet
cutting drilling or ANYTHING b4 mesureing or makeing sure i wanted it like that
not puting clear coat on a controler after paint (that was my 1st mod)

90% of these accidents could have been avoided if we would only have to apply for a soldering licence. and pass a soldering test. my motto that i stole from someone "some people shoudn't be able to mod their xbox... much less use power tools."

I once left my soldering iron on for 4 days, and then went to do some more modding, bent over to plug it in and almost burned my face, it hit the iron, and I jumped up and knocked my chair over.

I also was using a Dremel cutting disc, set it down in my garage on the concrete floor, and it ran around in circles...

I've grabbed the metal end of a soldering iron before too, that hurts...

i accidently deleted a main part of my softmod while updating linux good thing i fixed it and ive been shocked many a time

I wanted to test an industrial strength glue/sealant, to see how strong it would be. So I poured an inch or so into a plastic cup, and set it down on the floor. I came back the next morning, to discover it had dissolved the cup, and had bonded with the carpet... Quite a big bare spot there now.
