is there a way to make a reset button for my xbox?(not in controller, just in the system itself)

there are lots of ways...

me - i'd get a switch that is on a spring, so when you push it in it would disconnect power, and when you let go it would let it flow again...

but why? if you have a mod chip then enable in game reset (igr) hit back black l r

The chip usually doesn't do it, in mine (while it is chipped) the BIOS has the in-game reset feature.

hmm... i didn't know softmods couldn't use the in game reset... aw well, either way i think the switchs i'm talking about are like these ones... but ask somebody else maybe this isn't a good idea...

Hmm...Those just look like normal momentary pushbutton switches, you'd need one that switched on and then off with one press.

edit: actually i still think those are the right ones, you push it and it disconnects power, let go and it reconnects right?

yeah, normally closed means power is on till you push it.

who said you can't use igr with a softmod?
the latest nkpatcher definately has ign - so no reset button needed

a dodgy idea would be to get a momentary off push button and put it where the power cord comes in on the positive :P

it'd cut off the power while u hold/press it, but may not come back on without u presssing the button :P

p.s. softmods suck
