Usually the Xbox via XBMC is used to access shared resources on the PC (Via SMB) rather than the other way round like your situation - however......

You can use my network places (At least on XP Pro which has worked for me) to access your Xbox's drives but with a catch:

The actual process is using FTP (Which Windows Explorer is rubbish at!) hence why when anyone is serious about FTP they use a client like FlasHFXP.

To do it enter the following into the address bar within "My Network Places":

ftp://user:password@ipaddressofxbox

Note the colon between user and password

After a brief pause you should now see the drives on your Xbox.

From now on you should see your Xbox inside "My Network Places".

I'm not sure what you mean?

You mean like map say the Xbox's "F:\" to a Network Drive on your PC?

I tried doing this from my work laptop (Win 2000 SP4) but it looks like it can't be done. If you try to map the network drive to an FTP location it fails.

You can create a shortcut to the FTP location but it will be in "My Network Places", whereas a mapped network drive would appear in "My Computer".

You can get a Xenium ICE chip and use the Samba server in the Xenium OS. I've heard it doesn't work all that well though(speed issues or something like that). <
