How do I setup the icons and images and stuff for movies and cd's? I can get the images myself, but i was wondering how to show them in the media player when i highlight a movie or have the icon view on?

Music:

get jpg cover art from anywhere....name it "folder.jpg" literally, and place it in the related folder.

my music/green day/american idiot/folder.jpg

to view the album art just change your view in My Music on XBMC to icons, or big icons.....all skins support this, think "the orbs" does a really nice job in displaying cover art

Video:

same thing as above, except just have one large movie directory, no subfolders, and instead of renaming the jpg to folder.jpg, rename it to the exact name of the file and change the extension from jpg to tbn

The Matrix.tbn

WIth video you will be able to click on the poster art (a on controller) and it will play the movie. BUt with music, clicking a on the album art will just open the folder to see each indiviual song, if you want to play the whole album then click y (not sure what it is for the remote)

What about for programs? Like I have my emulators in a folder, what format do i need to set a picture in order to see the image displayed as an icon?

for emulators you need to name the jpg as default.tbn and place it inside the emulator folder (note, there should be a default.xbe there)

No it doesnt have to be done by ftp, you can burn it on a cd if you want, or use XBMC's CDDB and IMDB auto look up thing. I have never used it before, I prefer doing it manually

, Also I had most of album art for my music before I even knew about XBMC.

ok say you have a movie well say matrix what happens if its to part like matrix 1of 2 and matrix 2 of 2 what do you do same thing?
