so all you have to do is solder a wire from the button trace to the switch and the other to the ground?

Anyone want to buy an s controller where the white button doesnt work.  I tried to do this mod but the pad came off, can someone please give me some more tips of how this is done.

I scaped the circe with a knife and put flux on it, i then tinned the tip of my wire, but never got the wire to stick well. I got it to stick to the board, but it was lose and then when i moved it the whole trace came with it.

I just broke a brand new crystal controller that the white button no longer works and I drilled a hole for the button.  Open to offers. Or does anyone know how to fix broken traces and could explain.

about broken traces

traces are just really thin wire thats flatened out ,

if you could solder a wire before and after the break in the trace

it should work

I just opened up my controller s and fitted the buttons, only to find out that the circuit board in mine looks completeley different to the one shown. It's an official MS one, how do I find out where to soldier?

I had the same exact problem. Here's a picture of the guts of my controller, its an official MS s-controller.....
