Xbox 360 Or Ps3

Wrong forum but I'd have both if I had the money.

I own a XB360 and there are plenty of great and exclusive games for it. Also has the backwards compatibility with over 400 original Xbox games so don't forget that. But I hate the current XB360 Windows 8 style dash and the fact it doesn't even place the gaming 'tiles' sections on the start screen. Being in the UK I do like that it has the BBC iPlayer but almost everything else useful requires you to sign up to a Xbox Live Gold account.

PS3 was a problem for me right from the start. Not enough exclusive games I wanted to play to justify the cost back then. It has been for me very much the Nintendo Gamecube of this generation. It has taken until just before it is going to be replaced to get me interested enough to seriously consider the, now very reasonable, cost. Being able to play Uncharted, The Last Of Us, Ratchet and Clank series and some of the PSN stuff like Journey, Flower etc is very tempting.

I suspect that if I buy a new console in the next year (unlikely) it will be a PS3.

360 all the way. PS3 somehow got a [ass when people were shitting over RROD. PS3 used some of the lowest grade parts ever seen. The optical drives used by Sony would make a low grade rip-off artist vomit.

Granted treat older 360 like a hooker in a dark alley, but the Slim model is solid. Ive fixed many 360 over the years and only hardware fail Ive seen with a SLim is the HDD which falls on the HDD manufacturer not M$. Granted they outsourced to a cheap whore cough cough Toshiba, but you can always grab a 4GB model then use HDD Hacker to juice a WD or use my un-official update and juice a Samsung HDD. Save some cash and have a quality HDD instead of a crappy Toshiba. Make great TVs, but Toshiba just sucks for HDD
