**EDIT SORRY, JUST READ THE OTHER TOPIC**

How the hell could this have happened? no clue...
I even tried deleting E:\TDATA\00face08  and  E:\UDATA\00face08

reinstalled xbmc.. still the error.. reinstalled different build... still the error... but if theres no internet, its fine.  I just. Dont. Get it.   :huh:  :huh:

Boot without the network cable.  Go into Settings, Network, and disable Internet Lookups, reboot.  "Fixed" my problem. :beer:

Same thing happened to me late this afternoon. If you look in the log file you can see that the xbox-scene rss feed fails. That's probablew why both you guys's methods work. You could probably just change the feed to something else for the time being. I hope the devs work something error handling in the future... that is, if I even know what I'm talking about.  :P

You can see that there's an illegal character in one of the stories - the Hitachi one has a "&" character which xml doesn't like unless you encase the data in CDATA tags. Hope the powers that be are reading this.
