Known issues with cross-version case swapping.
1.6 motherboards in earlier cases:
1. There is one extra screw hole on pre-1.6 cases. The shielding tab on the extra stand-off must be removed, or short circuit will occur. Its standoff should also be shaved down, as it could put unnecessary pressure on motherboard components in this area on 1.6 boards.
2. The stand-offs that add stability to the AVIP port (2) are much longer in pre-1.6 cases. They need to be shaved down slightly when installing a 1.6 board so that the board will sit level in the case. DO NOT skip this step and do not attempt to force the board down or damage will occur. Additionally, because of the difference in length of these stand-offs, care should be taken when putting pre-1.6 motherboards into 1.6 cases.
Pre-1.6 motherboards in 1.6 cases:
Due to the shorter AVIP stand-offs in 1.6 cases, NORMAL tightening of the AVIP stand-off screws can cause slight board flexing, which can result in connectivity issues at the AVIP, such as random loss of audio or video signals.
