Weird Philips Disc Drive Behaviour
« on: July 18, 2013, 06:55:00 AM »

Looked into this myself and I was wondering: could it be that AID v4.53 installed virtual eeprom protection without any indication it was doing that?

I elected for a basic dual boot softmod (Installer/UnleashX dashes) just as I have done before. All my other SID/AID softmods were done with very either early version SID or later AID 4.4. This is the first Xbox I've done with a recently downloaded/burned v4.53 disc. Maybe virtual eeprom protection is included as standard  now but if it causes problems like this Chimp 2618 LUD one it would have been helpful to know and be told how to disable it too.

Apparently HeXEn has the appropriate tool for doing this.
