Xbox360 Wired Controllers Porting To Old Xbox
« on: March 29, 2013, 11:59:00 AM »

This will never happen.

An Xbox 360 controller driver for the original Xbox would have to first be developed. Then it would have to coded into the original Xbox dash, or at the very least, added to the most popular homebrew Xbox dashboard, HOWEVER, it would appear that the folks with the knowledge and skill to do something like this are not interested in doing so.

Your only options are to either pay the astronomically high price for controllers available in your country, or to buy an Xbox 360 and use it to play any Xbox games you may have that are supported by the console.

There actually does exist the possibility of not requiring new drivers, but someone would have to create a hardware adapter that can translate Xbox 360 controller output to original Xbox controller output.  Such adapters already exist for things like using your Xbox 360 controller on your PS3 and vice versa, but nothing like this exists for using an Xbox 360 controller on an original Xbox.  This adapter could be homebrewed and implemented using things like PIC micro controllers, but it's definitely beyond my abilities.  I'd love to be able to use Xbox 360 controllers on the original Xbox.
