21 is just a generic error.
try rebooting if that wont work jam in a recovery disk like hexen "heimdalls xbox engineering disk"
then tell that to soft mod.. (if it boots)

and your sure your soft modded right? because if your hard modded you will be needing to use a diferent kind of exploit.

holy fuckballs! tried the xbmc varient of autobuilder and it's actually booted into the xbmc dash, the ring is flashing between orange, red and green though. i thought it would only be green and orange?

anyways, gonna have a play and try not to brek anything

okay, so xbmc is running. it however won't play any backups on the hard drive or via disc, with the hard drive i just get a black screen, with disc i just get the play icon in the button right that does nothing.

Also, on a slightly unrelated note, it is recognizing my G drive as 0gb (320gb drive) and my F as 120. I've tried using the hexen disc to reformat but as my luck goes the AYBX password doesn't actually work for me!

any hints?

If you don't know the password on hexen you can probably look at the config.ini file on the disk and find it there. Not sure why it wouldn't play backups unless there is a problem with your softmod but reformatting the disk should be a good place to start.

passcode is AYBX
password is Xbox (case sensitive)

you should usually use xbpartitioner in hexen rather than just format though.
but if the G drive is less than 250gb format should work fine for you. and wont mess up F.

you can resoftmod with hexen now its able to boot it, may fix your issues..
Also tell hexen to clear cache, and delete un needed eeprom files.
