Xbox Dvd Drive (thompson)

sad.gif It happened after the Mod...
My Xbox does not read any media inserted in the DVD drive ever since I modded it, whenever I take it apart and unplug the drive it works for a couple of minutes but it will spin and wont read, I need help, my xbox says it is a Thompson but knows nothing else about it.

You can try to clean the laser with a q-tip and some rubbing alcohol. Be gentle with it.

You can replace the laser or the DVD drive itself. There are plenty of tutorials here on how to do it.

Most people's opinions of the Thompson drives are very low. If you replace the drive, get a Samsung if you can.
