Certain Files Wont Transfer Via Ftp

I have read a few treads on this topic happening to other people but with out resolve. my issue is:

Out of the 100's of gigs i have transferred to and from xboxs i have found a hand full (maybe 12) files that just wont transfer. sometimes on to the xbox and some times off. such as a file from my back up of DOOM 3: DOOM3/base/video/attract.bik. some video files, some audio, some bin, some iso etc.... its not a name character or length issue as you can see with the above example of the doom file. I have tried in both filezilla and FlashFXP. They get to a certain point (such as 84% or 6.7%) done and then stop and either restart or fail. any ideas why?

Response:    450 can't access file.
Error:    File transfer failed


I have tried renaming the files with no luck. even to one letter names.

have you tried transferring over smb instead of ftp?

Hi mate, happened to me before, it's either if the file name is too long or has particular characters in it or if the file has 0 bites, flashfxp should do it though, check the transfer settings. If it's a game your trying to transfer use dvd2xbox, it changes the obscure file names for you. Just burn ur .iso backup onto a DVD and away you go
