Xbox Hdd Problems After Power Cut.
« on: February 27, 2011, 12:46:00 PM »

I am afraid that no such tools exist. The only solution I can think of is ftping everything over to a pc (external harddisk if you don't have enough free space), reformatting the partition and transferring everything back.

As the xbox file system is fatx, I don't think you will find any tools for it, not even for a pc platform.

But, I would be interested to hear if you find something.

regards.

How big is the drive? Was it formatted with Xbpartitioner 1.1?

If it wasn't formatted with Xbpartitioner 1.1 then you are probably getting data corruption. It happens after about 250gigs of data being transferred to the drive.

When the original programs were written for the Xbox, no one had a drive larger than 250gigs. The programs were written to format these smaller drives.

Xbpartitioner 1.1 was written to address this issue. FTP it to the E:\Apps folder and run it. Format the drive using 32k clusters.
