the torrent does exist - you just gotta know where to look. i cant link as thats breaking forum rules.

I booted the disk last night for a look around. Man, its good. I laughed (?hysterically) when i saw the iND-BiOS.5003.67 BIOS flash part. If only I knew/had a look...
Anyhow care to share the password to access the other areas of the disk like formatting?...its been so long I have forgotten the password.

well only link i found if from demonoid, and the country i am in, has been blocked from its tracker... oh well.. thx for the suggestion anyway.. i dont see why it hasnt been added to xbins.. =/ i mean if its that useful.. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

ok guess whose back.. =/ well i got my 2tb hdd, its a WD20EARS.. i seen on the xbox compatibility chart it works, and is lockable.. i also got 2 different adapters.. since i live in asia, im sure ones i got here are nothing like ones most of u have tried. however can never be too sure i guess..

anyways, here i go.. i have flashed with ind bios as suggested 5003.67 i believe, and i have also tried x2 4981.67 bios... the problem IS that NOTHING not AID, HEXEN, OR SID will boot up.. it just hangs on the loading screen.. i have tried the jumpers in all settings, but assumed CS was the one it should be working on, but its not.. put in my old HD and they will boot up.. all but HEXEN, after i tried to load that disc i got an error 7, and it wouldnt go away every time i booted my xbox.. i had to unplug, and remove the hdd, and reconnect everything again.. wtf is up with that...?

is there a special bios i should be using in order to do a hdd from scratch using AID or what.. how long does it take on the loading screen.. i know with a working hdd it takes about 40-60 secs.. but i actually went into the other room, extracted hexen added files to make it it on a dvd, and then burned it.. went back in and it was still just sitting there doing nothing.. my friend has a chipped xbox with an aladdin 2 chip or some shit, with some x2 89?? or something bios on it.. but it goes to different error screens when i tried it.. as i changed the jumper i got a diff error screen to pop up..

has anyone else tried these WD green 1-2 TB hdds b4, and had any luck with them..? i did a search here and didnt see much feed back.. is there a list on the site here with 1+TB hdds peeps have had success with? i went for this one because i was sure i seen many talks about it working, but now i cant find them posts anymore..

ok i just found it under the name 'best sata to ide adapters' here http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?showtopic=696416
but i still dont see anyone talking about doing an install directly from the xbox itself.. only suggestions about doing it.. is there something im missing here?u help on this asap would be greatly appreciated, because i only have 7 days to go get my $$ back if these drives will not work for me..

hey fellas, back again.. i finally got the sata-ide adapter everyone says is the best http://www.dealextre...ls.dx/sku.12537
I actually got 3 of them.. popped it on, and nothing. got an error 07.. tried all jumper placements, and same thing.. so took another one out cus i was gonna test to see if perhaps i just got a bad one, and the other 2 do not have any jumper pins on them.. only the one.. I tried one anyway, and for a moment i noticed a led light in the back light up, which i never noticed happen with the 1st one which had the pins..
then the light went out, and xbox powered down... im careful to make sure the back of the adapter is covered so nothing touches accidentally, and shorts out..

as i tried it again, same thing error 07 and there are no jumper pins on them.. could that be a problem.. i mean could it force a short or something. I got 2 brand new HDDs here, and checked and as i said in the last thread have been tested.. I changed bios back to xcutioner 4981.67 just in case, still nothing..this is really getting on my nerves. just mail ordering the adapters was hell in of its self. since i live in asia, i had to get some friends to transfer funds, and join this action site which had the adapter.. it came in exact package as one from extreme deals, and same model # too..

 I got one more here that i havent opened yet... im so tempted to and tri just because i have been doing this shit for months now... anyone who is using this adapter had any similar experiences, should the led light always be on, and if not, does that mean the adapter has been fried.. ugh.. SUPER frustrated !!!!

Sorry - I only just spotted this!

The password to unpack HeXEn is Heimdall01. The passcode to access the protected areas of the menu is AYBX followed by the start button.

im still having alot of trouble finding HeXen dics.. =p
also i had a quick question.. since i got this 2tb working, its true u can NOT have a partition over 1TB?

i just ask because now my xmugen will not run on the new hdd.. someone in a emu forum said it will not run if u partition with 32, 64 clusters..  so is it possible to do a F137 g in 16 clusters, and the rest to to G drive.. that would be about 17xx gigs to G..
seems i remember reading someone i think bloke said anything over 1 TB would not work.. i guess is this was actually possible we would be seeing people modding hdds over 2tb.. is there anyone that has been able to do that?
I can always keep my old 320 gig hdd, and just swap them out when i have the urge to play xmugen but with the small sata adapter i hare to be unhooking it too much.. but if its possible to get xmugen working on this 2TB it would just be sublime... haha
