Original Hdd Won't Boots Or Extremely Slow
« on: December 16, 2010, 05:04:00 PM »

As all connections are good - no bent pins or similar - it may be the IDE socket on the motherboard was loosened. Try pressing down gently on it, then attempt to boot the console again. If that makes a difference, remove the system motherboard and resolder the joins where the socket is attached to it (just remelt them and allow them to set).

Failing that, plug the HDD into a PC's PSU, and see if the console will boot that way.

Failing that, it's very likely the HDD.
