Report A Bug Of Xbmc Playing Mpeg-1 Vedio File
« on: March 15, 2005, 09:45:00 PM »

I am using the latest XBMC build. I have a bunch of MPEG-1 format vedio karaoke files, i.e. files with .MPG or .DAT extension. The files come with multiple audio streams. when playing, I can select an audio stream from the menu ( which will only play back ground music without voice, that's how they design this kind of karaoke vedio file, or KTV file ). I recently found if I change the audio stream from default to the karaoke audio stream, then after the file finish playing. Next time I try to play it in XBMC again, it will not play any sound. However, if I change the file name, then it can play normally again. And this happens to every MPEG-1 format file I have ( I tried on more than 10 files ). I guess XBMC memorize something, and there was a bug dealing with this situation.

It looks like not related with the karaoke function, I tried to turn off the karaoke function and did the same exercise, same result.

not sure if this is the right place to report bug, but let me know if there is another right place to post this kind of problems.

Thanks

feng

We'll need example files so we can reproduce.

I suggest you post a bug report on SourceForge and upload a sample file (or where to obtain a suitable sample file) either to SF if it's small enough (<256k) or to www.xboxmediaplayer.it/upload if it's larger.

Please detail the EXACT steps to reproduce the problem.
