Please Help. Cant Lock Hdd

Sometimes disabling the hdd auto detection in your computer bios helps.

If that doesn't, you really need to find another pc with a bios that doesn't put the harddisk in a frozen state. It can even be a very old (cheap) one.

Another method of doing things is connecting the harddisk cable after the pc has booted.
This can damage your harddisk and even your pc as the ide interface was never designed for that.

do i add the power to the hard drive b4 startup or after with ide cable.

power the whole time. dont matter. but connect the ide to hdd after post or  just at first menu in hdm
