I just would like to bump up my topic so it is near the top of the page and not dragging towards the bottom into the next page and someone may hopefully answer my question.

If that is the same as the 5900 rpm on newegg I have 3 and have had no issues. 2 run xbox linux. 1 runs with f and g split evenly on a xbox running 5035 and houses my xbox game collection. I also only use adapters from partsdomauction on ebay. I have had mixed results with other peoples adapters.

To answer all of the questions out there, yes a 2TB SATA drive is possible in the Original XBOX.  I have built 2 of them.  I have also built a 1 TB XBOX as well.  You need an IDE To Sata HDD Adapter made by SIIG, a SATA Hard Drive, and a 24" Ultra Slim ATA 133 Cable made for 2 Drives.  You will also need to use a Dremel and cut the back of the XBOX Hard Drive plastic tray to make room for the round IDE cable.  You also need XBPartioner 1.0 and 1.1 to format the new hard drive using 64K Clusters.

It can be done.......it has been done.........and I'm loving every second of it!!!!!!!!  biggrin.gif
