Video Slow
« on: March 14, 2005, 06:21:00 PM »

Hi when I watch rmvb files on my xbox using xbmc it sometimes kind of lag a little, could it be something to do with cache? When I'm watching my series in rmvb on my xbox sometimes with the people talking in the serie it stops a little and thus making it kind of bad. I made the blue bar on top came out and saw that when it lags the cache% is a little high, is there anyway to fix this? Can I make a shorcut so everytime I go into xbmc I don't have to go through alot of stuff to get to my vid folder.

I take it an rmvb file is a Real video format?

If so, try updating your version of XBMC and or Codecs.

There have been some great improvements in XBMC's Mplayer port and codecs regards compatibility / performance / quality.

I got the latest version of xbmc version 4-01-05, I heard that you could set the video renderer to make it more smoothly. What happens if i set no cache will that help?

Why don't you try and see?  Experiment.  Doesn't hurt does it?

I thought that we had already fixed your issue with navigating to the videos section? What is your problem now?

When I'm watching rmvb files on my xbox with xbmc the playback isn't that smooth and I tried to mess with the video renderers and the no cache thing non interleaved and adjust framerate etc.. Still when I watch my rmvb once in awhile the rmvb shutters and and I think that should be able to be fixed. I'm just wondering what could be the cause of it.
