Bypassing Dvd Drive From Xbox ?

As far as I remember, you will need a modchip or a Tsop flash to be able to remove the dvdrom entirely.
Some of the modchip biosses are able to skip the dvd rom test.
Some people simply leave the electronic board of the dvd drive connected and remove the rest of the dvdrom.

 Its easy to flash the tsop if it is already softmodded plus its a quick and free process.
