Only if one of your routers supports wireless client bridge mode, or if one of them can be reflashed with dd-wrt firmware which does support wireless client bridge mode.

if the wireless bridge mode isnt an option:

if you have a wired uplink to your universities network plug that into the router, and the router to the xbox (like you did at home) and use the laptop to wireless to the router

last option is plug the xbox into the router and set up a wireless netowrk separate from your uni's, downside is you will have to switch your laptop from the uni's wireless network to your xbox's wireless network every time you want to FTP
