Hi,
I searched the forum, but haven't found a solution to my sync probs.
I have a 2.2 (or 2.1) lite (cannot tell the difference) and I am trying to flash it with a programmer. When hooked up to my PC, is can read the bios fine, but when I try to erase or write the BIOS (with the swith set to unprotected), it gives me the following errors:
Erase:
D:X2cable>x2cable e
Erasing...Error: SYNC=1
Error: SYNC=8
Error: SYNC=1
Error: SYNC=1
Error: SYNC=8
Error: SYNC=1
Done. Time taken = 1s.
Write:
D:X2cable>x2cable w edwin.bin
Erasing...Error: SYNC=1
Error: SYNC=8
Error: SYNC=1
Error: SYNC=1
Error: SYNC=8
Error: SYNC=1
Done. Time taken = 1s.
Writing...Error: SYNC=1
Error: SYNC=8
Error: SYNC=1
Error: SYNC=1
Error: SYNC=8
Error: SYNC=1

Error: SYNC=1
and so on . . .
It looks like the LPT port is OK, because it can read OK. I tried it on 4 PC's already, and also changed the LPT type in the BIOS.
When I install and disable the mod-chip, it goes to M$ dash as expected, when I enable the chip FRAG's (3 x boot, then fails).
Is my d0 point bad ? Or the LPC points ? I checked them, but they seem OK. It looks like the chip is OK too, because I can read from it
