Hey guys,

I hacked the firmware on my 360 back when this was first revealed and i never updated it since. I also never play on live and an ethernet cable has never touched my 360. But now i have a question i was reading that people with modified firmware are being banned on live is this true? Is there a certain version that is not bannable? I just want to download some new songs for rockband and i was wondering if i can do this with the modified firmware

I'm pretty sure it just detects a backup dvd in the drive and bans you because of that, not because of the hacked firmware on your system. So, just log into live with nothing in the system and you should be ok.

wrong. if you've ever played a backup that wasn't a 1:1 copy then you're susceptible to the banhammer.

it doesn't matter if you're on xbl at the time - that shit gets logged.

there is no true 1:1 backup is there?? it is modified by XBC to "look" like a true game with hacked firmware..

right?

you can find out if you've created your backup properly by viewing the iso in xdvdmulleter.

i never went on live at all and just to download the songs i would need a silver membership is silver still susceptible to ban?
