Cheers, I did search google for them but all they came back with was Pixmania (via amazon marketplace)and Ebay. I'll check those links out as I'm still looking for the cheapest and preferably virgin drive (I like to do everything myself, it makes it feel better when it all works).

i just flashed my drive from v.82...now windows dont see it anymore, says it cant install the drive (the data is invalid)...the flash went perfectly tho...any ideas?

i was just wondering how you get this firmware i have trying to D/L it and cant find it yet people seem to have it already i have V081 and just wanted to upgrade the FW

with reference to buying the drives from bt website, they are advertised as sh-163a's they are actually shipping 163b's though, have just got one

Kreon get your arse in gear, chuckles, joking, but please try and get a new version for the updated drives as soon as, grates me that some guys are making a shed load off something you and your team have developed for the masses for noubt.

Looking forward to the new firmware.

Ok, I SECOND what blue is saying... Except my SH-D163A is Kreon v0.80 flashed...PLEASE, anyone... I have been looking all over for this flash... I can google PLENTY of people who want to sell me a Kreon v1.0 pre-flashed drive, but all I would like is the file... please

Anyone have a rapidshare link? or can point us in the right direction?

Hey Guys

Ordered a Samsung SH-D162B and I'm having problems putting the kreon firmware I got from xbins.

Problem is that the .bin file is Samsung SH-D162B_SB01 and the drive it self is a SB02.

I didn't know there was a difference but when I try to load the firmware onto the drive it says its the wrong one.

Use the "-nocheck" command with the samsung flasher app.

you can also flash with dosflash, latest version that came out when ixtreme 1.5 works fine. Tested it last night.

Also rename the firmware to something easier to type in dos, like kreon.bin

When I begin the flashing process, it comes up with "Flash Cmd Fail!!"

Now the mouse is stuck with the hourglass but I can click on things like the "?" to bring up the information screen but I dont think its doing anything although status says "wait..."
