Mic Delay W/ Karaoke

First off, a huge thank you to the XBMC developers.  I greatly appreciate all the hard work.

I just started using the voice support in XBMC and have a question to those with a microphone.  I'm using the headset and there is an obvious delay.  I'm NOT using the voice masks which would probably increase the delay.  Is there any improvement in the delay with the music mixer mic?  Also, is there a great improvement in sound quality with the mic?  Not numbers, subjective quality according to your EAR.

Not sure if there is an increase in quality (as I don't have a headset).. but, I am using the music mixer microphone setup... and, there is a noticable delay.

I have the same problem with the music mixer microphone. Is there a way to make it work without delay?
