A Few Hard Drive Questions
« on: March 11, 2007, 10:45:00 AM »

I modded my xbox with an executer chip a few years ago. About 6 months ago I was copying a game to the drive and pressed something on the controller that screwed up the process. Ever since that day I get an error telling me to call tech support or something. After many hours of fiddling I gave up on it until now. This week a friend gave me his xbox after upgrading to a 360, and has rekindled my interest. My original one is beat up anyhow, and I have ordered a xecuter3 for the newer xbox - but I would like to know how to get everything off my original drive and onto a new drive I will be using for this project. I had years worth of music, games, and movies on it and now I cannot access it in my PC or via ftp like I once could. I have been reading the forums, especially topics about hot swapping and cloning drives, but I am just not familiar with all these new methods. Any help would be appreciated.

Download AID (Auto Installer Deluxe), burn it, boot it on the xbox, and you'll have FTP access. Fix your dashboard or whatever the problem is if you want.

I suggest then putting avalaunch on both xboxes, hook them up with a crossover or router/switch and copy away.

Thanks, I'll give that a shot.
