The HDD will be using a proprietary connector, the controller ports will be USB ports, or wireless otherwise, and the power supply will be external, and therefore not ATX standard.

yeah ive heard about the external PSU as well, i bet the power connector is the one on the far right.

You can see the HDD connector on the left, probably SATA. There is no IDE for the DVD drive though, prolly a proprietary harness, one of those multi colored wire harnesses on the left (one for power and one for signal?)

also, I do not see the ATX power supply connector, either this is a primitive beta or M$ is making the xbox further from the PC then ever.

What makes you thin kthe power supply wil lbe in the xbox?
from the comments made by that kid who released the dev kit pics... there's a large external power supply
you can see the metal shielding for a plug in the upper left (same area as last xbox's power cable)...

I'd say this is legit

lets hope this gets in the right hands . LOL or from MS point of view the wrong hands. let thsi bad boy be modded.i hope those guys are associated with team xecuter or are gonna work on modding the 360 that would be sick. i bet king bill isn't to happy about this. i hope those guys dont get caught on the original site they posted a pic of them selves with the 360 hardware. not good. just like the 360 kid who put a pic of himself playing halo 2 on a xbox 360. LET THE MODDING BEGIN. MAY THE MODDING GOODS BE WITH YOU TO THE GUYS WITH THE HARDWARE AND IF YOUR DONT PLAN ON MODDING GET THE HARDWARE IN TE RIGHT HANDS.

well since it appears to use a standard TSOP for the bios, its more like, "where are the write enable points?". But D0 would be there, and pretty easy to find.

Yeah, but D0 wouldn't mean shit without a debug bus, which some people don't seem to realize.  Yeah, that TSOP is probably a BIOS flashrom, but it probably has a lot more security than the original Xbox one did.  Yeah, the HDD and DVD connectors are probably proprietary, and yeah, this is very very very very very very likely to be legitimate.

this looks pretty legit to me.  just another thing that no one has mentioned yet:
those two metal cases in the bottom left of the picture look like they could be memory card slots.

If the system is supposed to work without the hard disk, where is the OS stored?

Surely not on that one tiny TSOP!

I'm thinking there must be more ROM somewhere. Underside maybe.

Theres a big chunk missing from the motherboard, im assuming that is where the expansion bay is located, but when you insert something into the expansion bay, where does it plug into? there is nothing on the motherboard.

Hey,

The question of the powersupply is already answered.

But, what is the connector next to the networkcable connector?

Anyone?

Ignore the PowerSupply question please.
