Fantastic! This information should be sticked somewhere, since it's the "King_Kong_Shader_Expliot_for_XELL.rar" package most people are using! I now have Linux running just fine. Yay!
Never occurred to me to ask for an MD5 signature. That would have revealed a lot. I got the same results as posted above:
Original NTSC xeshaders.bin: dccc01ffe4c0b0a056aab4342319a5fc
Correct NTSC patched xeshaders.bin: 13d026a7c1ae9c1330f607ff968b5678 (using KKPatcher.exe)
Incorrect NTSC patched xeshaders.bin: 3d2bb5af978b444525fff79f9eb7e941 (using win_patch.exe)
So for anyone reading this thread experiencing the same problem:
- Download:
http://www.xbins.org...ot_for_XELL.rar , and extract the file "shader.bin" from the package.
- Download:
http://www.xorloser....ShaderTools.zip , and extract "KKPatcher.exe" from the package.
- Apply the shader to your kingkong ISO with the new patcher. (NOT win_patch.exe! )
