Problem With Ifilm
« on: July 20, 2005, 08:31:00 AM »

Hi Guys,
A bit of a newbie here when it comes to scripts and stuff. I have softmodded my xbox, and put on the latest XBMC Pimped edition. Everything works fine, except for ifilm. It shows me all the titles of the videos, and when I go to watch one, the download bar comes up saying it is looking for the asf file in the asx something (sorry guys, doing this from memory, as I am at work). It hangs at halfway, after taking about a second to get there. I then cancel it and go back to the main screen, where there is no text, just the icons. All I then can do is turn my xbox off and then on fron the front. It won't do it through the controller - it seems to have crashed.

It seems not to have a problem getting on the ifilm site, just downloading stuff.
Any help will be greatly appreciated

Thanks

NickB

PS Also does anyone know how to turn off the music when XBMC loads up??
Ta!!

The iFilm Script does the same for me.

Delete XBMC\media\start.wav to remove the startup music.

(It's in the readme file.)

I've got the exact same problem, its driving me nuts!

Its the 17-7-2005 build of XBMC i have, and iFilmBrowser is fresh from xbmcscripts.com a couple of days ago (ver. 1.7 i think).

Thought it might have something to do with missing codecs or python libs, but couldn't find any info on this.

Any ideas out there?

I am having the exact same problem. I also have the latest XBMC and Iflim script. IT loads fine, but when I start to download a film, it stops half way and freezes.....

I believe the message is something like searching for asx from asf playlist....

Sounds familiar. It worked once for me and then sh*t itself giving the exact same message. Does anyone have a fix for this? I only downloaded it off XBMCscripts on Sunday
