Why Is Bbc Radio So Slow?
« on: June 22, 2005, 03:43:00 PM »

I tried accessing BBC radio via xbbc and ooba, both of these scripts take about 30-45 seconds to buffer up the audio.  However when I access BBC radio on my PC it starts up in just a second or two.  Does anyone know why it takes so long to access these streams from an xbox?

Yea, I have the same troubles.  I just can't figure out why it is that slow.

I've been noticing this too. It's a shame cos I love listening to BBC Radio as I'm over here in Canada.

It seems to be buffering a lot of the clip first, which may be why the buffering time is so long.  Am not sure about that though.

I would like Sports Extra to be included in the list of channels available to stream too.
