Its been asked before but noone ever gave a clear answer. Is it possible? Gmail does use POP3.

Well if it uses POP3 then probably.  Just try....Better yet i'll give it a go..... Unlike a lot of people in the forum i'll be right back.

i have tried, it says problem connecting or soemthing like that
gmail uses different ports and a secure logon so that may be part of the problem

I got around this by forwarding all incoming emails to another pop3 email account. such as www.bluebottle.com and using that to read my emails from xbmc.
