Combined Scripts
« on: April 28, 2005, 01:18:00 AM »

I've downloaded most of the XBMC scripts, and a few seem to lock up.  I don't know if the scripts no longer work with the latest CVS release, or the stream is screwed up.  But I'm browsing through, wondering which scripts work, and which don't.

Ooba however got me thinking.  It's one script that connects to various streams of pictures, audio, and video.

Wouldn't it be possible to combine several existing scripts to have one mega script that connects to all the popular sources?

I don't know a lick of python, but I was thinking of looking up a tutorial and possibly giving it a shot myself.  If I can add Launch, iFilm, Quicktime, and GamespotPlus to Ooba for instance, I'd be a happy camper.

it sounds nice, while ooba is a nice script, I like launchbrowser for the options. This is how it is: everyone want different things.

Whether Flexibrowser, Launchbrowser, Ooba, or whatever is used, I don't care too much.  When my wife uses the XBox, she has no clue what the various scripts are for instance.  I'd like to clean up, and instead of having tons of different scripts, wouldn't it be nice to have one script that combines various popular feeds and features?

What should be included?

Why not just edit your dialogsubmenu.xml to launch the various scripts and name them something that your wife would understand what they are for... that's what I do...

I also use scriptbrowser, which for whatever reason chooses to work sometimes and sometimes not....
