Script Request
« on: April 13, 2006, 01:29:00 PM »

Hi, I was wondering if anyone would be interested in making a script to view these webcam images.

http://www.esso.is/Forsida/Utivist/

It would be cool to be able to view those 11 webcams through xbmc.

I bet it's not difficult to script, but I don't know the first thing about python.

So thanks in advance if anyone's interested

Dood i dont even know what language that webby is in.
XBMC can handle many streams, you can just put them into a .strm(? i think?)

It's Icelandic. If you didn't recognize the language at first, reykjavik should have been a big effin' clue.

Of course becuase i know what 'reykjavik' means  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/mad.gif)  sounds Russian to me.
Yes i did google it and find that it was the Capitol, but i dont spend my time reciting Capitol cities, unlike some obviously. I have much better things to do, like watch paint dry, and stick pins into my eyeballs.

@ mntcore
Perhaps you could do this with ooba? It is quite flexible.

You couldn't just put these in strm files (I don't think) because this isn't video, it's a picture that's updated every few minutes.  I wanted to do the same thing so that I could see local traffic cams and ski slope cams, but nobody seemed so anxious to make me a script.

thanks for the replies, guys. I'll try to figure this out somehow. I understand that there isn't much demand for this script so no one's really interested.
